A craft evening was held by Kirkcudbright SWI.
Margaret Hainey helped fellow members make a paper fir cone using a foam egg as a base.
She had cut small squares of decorative paper for them to use. They folded the paper into triangles and pinned them to the egg, overlapping as they moved down.
Members will finish them at home with decorative bows so they can be hung on Christmas trees. Margaret was thanked for demonstrating a new craft.
Everyone then had tea and the raffle was drawn before president Molly Broll was congratulated on her 5km sponsored walk in Toronto, in aid of lung transplants.
This was a tremendous event which included a marathon. Altogether more than £26,000 was raised.
