Dalbeattie Primary School P1 and P2 pupils treated parents, families and friends to a sparkling performance of their Christmas nativity show A King is Born last Thursday.

Depute head Alex Howie and her staff team helped the children learn their lines and get their costumes ready for the big day.

Head teacher Elizabeth Duncan thanked all involved in staging the production, the janitors for their time and Mr Murray and Mrs Newbold for co-ordinating ticket sales.

She added:”I would especially like to thank all the boys and girls for putting on a fantastic performance. Well done!”

Mrs Howie said: “We have had 75 kids rehearsing twice a week for months.

“They all coped very well. It was the first time we had the P1 and P2 children doing all the parts.”
