Pri­mary prin­ci­pal waves ‘good­bye’

Pupils and staff at Hardgate Pri­mary said good­bye to prin­ci­pal Morag Courten on Fri­day.

Mrs Courten re­tired at the end of term, hav­ing taught at the school for 20 years.

The par­ent coun­cil pre­sented her with a neck­lace per­son­alised with the dates she taught at the school.

And as Mrs Courten will shortly be head­ing to New Zealand to visit her chil­dren, the school com­mu­nity bought her a pass­port cover and some of the coun­try’s cur­rency.

They also pre­sented her with vouch­ers for House of Bruar and Jenny Gard­ner Up­hol­stery.

There are plans for an event once Mrs Courten re­turns from her trip.
