Stewartry kids on up
Stewartry U14s travelled to a sunnyViolet Bank to play a much improved Annan side on Sunday.
The game kicked off in bright sunshine with Annan taking the early advantage of using their fast bulky centre, who powered his way through to score an early try.
This stirred Stewartry up, and to be fair, they played some of the best rugby this season, especially the game’s best try. Stewartry must have put at least 15 phases together between the 22 and their try line to score a magnificent try under the posts.
It was a good-spirited game, the referee was fair, although Annan were offside quite a bit.
Two 30 minute halves were played, allowing the boys to get some continuity into their game.
Annan proved too strong in the end though and won 26-10.
