Open air ser­mon

Nearly 60 peo­ple gath­ered to cel­e­brate the dawn of Easter morn­ing at 5.50am be­side Car­ling­wark Loch.

Peo­ple came to­gether from all the lo­cal churches who make up Cas­tle Dou­glas Church­esTo­gether: the Churches of Scot­land, the Ro­man Catholic Church, the Scot­tish Epis­co­pal Church and the New Life Church.The short ser­vice was led by Revs Christo­pher Ket­ley, Sally Rus­sell and Ali­son Burn­side.

Af­ter­wards an en­joy­able break­fast of ba­con rolls, toast, tea and cof­fee was served in the Gordon Me­mo­rial Hall. In this day of so much divi­sion in the world it was won­der­ful that peo­ple from all denominati­ons and none can come to­gether on this spe­cial day.
