From page to stage

Fox and Hound The­atre Cubs are start­ing a page to stage project this week­end.

Hot off the stage from per­form­ing Black­out by Davey An­der­son in San­quhar as part of the Dum­fries and Gal­loway Arts Fes­ti­val, they’ll be start­ing a se­ries of the­atre work­shops in Cross­michael Vil­lage Hall on Sun­day. The ses­sions will cover tech­ni­cal skills, stage and cos­tume de­sign, set build­ing, di­rect­ing and act­ing and cul­mi­nat­ing in two per­for­mances in July as part of the Cas­tle Dou­glas Civic Week fes­tiv­i­ties.

Par­tic­i­pants who don’t want to take part in the per­for­mances but still want to learn skills are wel­come. Al­though most members are of high school age, the group is broad­en­ing its in­take to seven and over. The project is funded by The Holy­wood Trust, The Gal­loway As­so­ci­a­tion of Glas­gow and The DG Un­lim­ited, GIGI Fund.
