Char­ity vol­un­teer hon­oured

An RNLI vol­un­teer has been hon­oured for three decades of ser­vice to the res­cue char­ity.

Eliz­a­beth Thomp­son is step­ping down from the RNLI Glenkens com­mit­tee af­ter 30 years.

She de­voted ap­prox­i­mately 20 years to the group as sec­re­tary.

The RNLI Ste­wartry fundrais­ing com­mit­tee paid tribute to Eliz­a­beth for her ded­i­ca­tion.

Pres­i­dent May Brown pre­sented her with gifts and a framed cer­tifi­cate from RNLI HQ at the Kirkcud­bright man­age­ment group’s AGM.

The Glenkens com­mit­tee also pre­sented Eliz­a­beth with gifts at its re­cent cof­fee evening fundraiser in Dalry Town Hall.
