Hall hosts jobs fair
JOBSEEKERS are being urged to attend a Renfrewshire Council-run recruitment event at Paisley Town Hall tomorrow.
Up to 40 employers will be there between 9.30am and 12.30pm to provide information about roles in warehouse and production, construction, facilities management, administration, customer service and more.
Those who go along will also be able to access help with their CVs and how to prepare for interviews.
A council spokesperson said: “Anyone looking for employment is encouraged to come along to a jobs fair held in Paisley Town Hall on Thursday, April 18, between 9.30am and 12.30pm.
“Companies in the construction, warehouse, maintenance, cleaning, administration and customer services fields will be there.
“There will also be help with CVs and preparing for interview from the Invest in Renfrewshire team.”
Employment is considered a key area for the council and a report to the economy and regeneration policy board outlined some of the trends and statistics surrounding the subject earlier this year.
The overall employment rate for Renfrewshire fell marginally in 2022/23, with a subsequent slight increase in unemployment and claimant count rates.
Meanwhile, the council has encouraged anyone looking to build skills and confidence for work to speak to its Invest in Renfrewshire team.
The spokesperson added: “They can help you access training, support and find employment opportunities that will help you earn more money.
“There’s no pressure – the team will work at your pace and you can change your mind at any point.”
