Meet the cute stars of new ads
THE spotlight has been shining on two youngsters chosen from hundreds of entries to be the 2019 faces - and “feet” - of Charles Clinkard first shoes.
Eighteen-month-old Phoebe Sankey from Stockton and Lucas O’Neill, 16 months, from Darlington, attended a glamorous photo shoot with their mums Helen and Jenny.
And the results were some stunning images their families will be able to treasure.
The photos will feature in the Teesside family footwear retailer’s firms advertising and in-store promotions across its 30-plus outlets nationwide.
The pair were entered into the contest by their families.
Jenny said: “I really didn’t expect to win!
“The photographer was very patient and the results speak for themselves.
“I expect he’ll see himself in the stores and give a wave and say ‘Hello Lucas.’”
Phoebe’s nana entered her into the competition.
Helen said: “We were so excited when my mum told me that Phoebe had won a competition to be a model and a year’s supply of shoes.
“The photo shoot was really fun (as well as tricky to keep an 18-month-old still) and we can’t wait to see her gorgeous photographs in the shops in the autumn.”
Managing director of the firm Charles Clinkard said: “We run a similar competition every year and every year we are glad we did.
“The level and quality of entries are high and the photoshoot always produces great pictures for our campaigns.
“It also gives us the chance to remind parents just how important it is to have children’s feet properly measured - especially for their first shoes.”
