FANS are set to flock to Albert Park as 80s icons Madness host a huge summer show. The sounds of brass instruments are sure to fill the air of the Middlesbrough park as the Ska group plays a string of their best hits to fans tomorrow.

Led by Graham ‘Suggs’ McPherson, the band’s gig is one of the firstever big concerts at Albert Park.

Gates will open for tomorrow’s gig at 5pm. Hollie Cook promises to bring a “feisty soulful/roots/reggae fusion” when she performs at 6.15pm, and she’ll be followed by DJ Craig Charles who will be spinning the decks at 7pm.

Madness will take to the stage at 8.30pm, with the event having a curfew of 10.30pm.

Re-entry to the festival will not be allowed, with the sole exception of parents and/or guardians accompanying children under the age of 16.

The concert will have hot food on sale, with everything from burgers to Chinese and fish and chips. There will also be vegan and vegetarian options.

There will be a bar selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Due to licensing restrictions, fans can’t take alcohol into the arena. However, soft drinks and water are allowed, as long as they are unopened/sealed and are not more than 500ml per bottle.

Anything considered open will be confiscated at the gate. Promoters have also said that camel packs (or similar) are not permitted. You can take a reusable water bottle, as there will be free water points inside the arena.

As well as alcohol, no glass or sharp objects (including picnic cutlery) will be permitted to be brought into the event and all guests will be subject to a brief search on entry.

Both smoking and vaping will be allowed in all uncovered areas at the gig.

There will be parking available on Claireville Common, and Blue Badge parking will be available onsite at Albert Park.

Disabled toilets will be provided on site. There will also be a dedicated wheelchair platform at the event. However, space within this area is limited and subject to availability. Tickets for personal assistants are free of charge and chairs will be provided for them on the platform.

If you haven’t purchased one of these tickets, please contact accessibility@kilimanjarolive.co.uk.
