LIMESTONE WAY

A waymarked trail through the southern Peak District and Derbyshire Dales. The route is 74km / 46 miles. It starts in the Peak District village of Castleton and finishes in Rocester, Staffordsh­ire.

SANDSTONE TRAIL

The trail is located in central Cheshire and follows sandstone ridges from Frodsham in the north to Whitchurch over the Shropshire border. Much of the route follows the Mid Cheshire Ridge – but it also passes through the Cheshire Plain, winding through farmland, woodland and along canal towpaths. It is 55km / 34 miles in length.

CHALKLAND WAY

The Chalkland Way is a 64km / 40-mile circular walk in North Yorkshire and the East Riding. It covers the chalky hills and valleys of the western Yorkshire Wolds. It’s described in a clockwise direction and often begun in the village of Pocklingto­n.

JURASSIC WAY

A route that follows the Jurassic limestone ridge along the northern boundary of Northampto­nshire. The path begins (or ends) across the county boundary in Oxfordshir­e. It traces the ridge for 144km / 89 miles before finishing in Stamford, Lincolnshi­re.

GRITSTONE TRAIL

The Gritstone Trail follows gritstone edges and moorland with views of the Peak District and Cheshire Plain. It is 55km / 34 miles long and clocks up 1600m of ascent. The route connects Disley, Cheshire near New Mills in the north with Kidsgrove, Staffordsh­ire in the south.
