Stefan Durkacz takes his first steps on Welsh hills
weekend my friend Bryan and I threw our camping gear into the back of his car and inched our way to freedom through London’s Friday afternoon rush hour. We headed along the M4 to Wales. Once over the Severn and off the motorway, we worked our way along increasingly rural roads into the hills, pulling up at last at the campsite by the beautiful ruined Llanthony Priory just over the border. Llanthony is an Augustinian foundation dating back to 1100AD.
