Motorola launches tough new smartphone

Motorola has launched a tough smartphone with a powerful battery, for outdoor use. The Defy is waterproof and drop-proof, and works in extreme temperatures. It’ll survive being submerged to a depth of 1.5m for 35 minutes, and you can wash it if you drop it in the mud (or your soup). The 6.5in display is protected by thick Corning Gorilla Glass Plus. The Defy also has a big 5000mAh battery, which Motorola says will last two days. The main camera has a 48Mp sensor, the selfie camera an 8Mp one. The Defy costs £279. motorolarugged.com
