The only predictable thing about autumn is its unpredictability, and the weather recently has been typical of the season: dynamic, volatile, and oscillating between the sort of warm October sunshine that can convince you the summer won't ever end after all, and the bitter windy weather that definitely heralds winter. That's what makes it an exciting time to be in the hills, and if our overflowing inbox this month is anything to go by, many of you agree.
