Hanwag launches new rugged boots with unique cushioning

The Ferrata II is a tough boot designed to cope with winter mountain conditions whilst being comfortable for walking. It has a unique TubeTec Rock sole that combines an extra polyurethane midsole material with a rugged outer protective ‘tube’ made from TPU. Hanwag says this provides a level of cushioning not often found in mountain footwear. The uppers are made from durable synthetic materials with integrated flex zones to ensure optimum freedom of movement and have a Gore-Tex inner. The outsole is a Vibram Mont with weight-saving Integral Light tread for reliable grip and traction. The cost is £300. hanwag.com
