Start/Finish
Patterdale, bus stop, pay-and-display parking opposite Patterdale Hotel GR: NY395159
At S end of Patterdale, take lane L across Goldrill Beck. At its end take track R, up-valley to Hartsop. 2
Turn L into village, then waymarked alley R to cross Pasture Beck. Path R of stream all the way to saddle Threshthwaite Mouth. 3
Turn L, up steep path bending R to tall cairn Thornthwaite Beacon. Wide path E then NE joining wall to High Street trig point. 4
Follow wall down N, then along narrow ridge Straights of Riggindale (Riggindale Straits on Harvey map). Contour L slope on main path, to saddle on L; then briefly up W to the Knott. 5
Follow broken wall down NW, crossing path, across soggy moorland col and up Rest Dodd. Down NW to shoulder, then down SW to broken wall and path ahead to Angle Tarn. 6
Bend L around tarn, then ahead onto lower path below Angletarn Pikes, through tiny col, and down to Boredale Hause. 7
Across stream take path down L, bending NW and slanting down to lane end near walk start.
