Stefan Durkacz

Stefan is a freelance researcher and writer based in Edinburgh. He developed a love of the outdoors including wild places in the Cairngorms as a youngster, and he’s been slowly exploring his way through the rest of Scotland since then. As well as high peaks, deep glens and birch woods, he has a keen interest in Highland folklore, history and ancient hill tracks. He’s recently co-authored a guide to wild country backpacking in the Highlands, due for publication in August 2022.
