Love Trails Festival returns to Gower Peninsula for 2022
The Love Trails Festival, which is billed by the organisers as the “world’s first trail running and music festival”, returns this summer to the Gower Peninsula in South Wales, bringing with it a packed programme of adventure activities over four days ( June 30 - July 3).
During the day runners can take in the stunning scenery on foot, exploring the dramatic coastlines, beaches and trails of Gower with non-competitive runs ranging from 3km to 55km. It’s not all running, however. Guests can also get adventurous and try coasteering, surfing, wild swimming and rock climbing, or simply wind down with unlimited yoga or a session in the wood-fired hot tub.
At night, three stages host a cherry-picked selection of DJs and live acts that will keep “festival-goers dancing under the stars until the early hours of the morning”, if they have any energy left from all the adventures. Throw in some inspirational talks and workshops, fantastic food and great people and “you’ve got the perfect weekend in the great outdoors”, according to the organisers.
Theo Larn-Jones, founder of the event, told The Great Outdoors: “More than two years in the works, 2022 is shaping up to be our biggest and best Love Trails Festival yet. We’ve combined an ambitious and creative run experience programme and a huge music line-up featuring established legends and taste-makers like David Rodigan and exciting new talent including Porij and Adwaith. For four days, we create an alternative world, filled with adventure, fun, friendship, community and of course trail running adventures of all shapes and sizes. There’s absolutely nothing else like it out there and we can’t wait for people to experience it all this summer.”
