Montane launches shorts range for summer

Montane has produced a selection of shorts for different mountain activities this summer. The Terra Alpine Shorts (left) are made from tough four-way stretch nylon fabric and have a tailored waist, zipped fly, webbing belt and four pockets. They’re designed for general mountain use and cost £65. At the same price are the more specialist Dragon Twin Skin Shorts (left) for trail running. These have a close-fitting inner short and a loose outer one. There’s a rear zipped pocket and rear gel shot pockets. The lightest shorts are the Tactel nylon Axial Lite, which have an elasticated waist, mesh hand pockets and a zipped rear pocket.
