1 Start/Finish

National Trust Honister Pass car park

Take the dismantled tramway path, W passing Dubs Quarry on your L. Cross Warnscale Beck and head SW for towards Little Round How.

2 At the fork in the path take the R, continuing SW until you reach Blackbeck

Tarn where you follow the footpath, skirting its N shore and following it WNW to Innominate Tarn. From here continue to Haystacks summit.

3 Leave the summit, continuing WNW for

600m and take Scarth Gap Pass to begin the descent NNW. After 1 mile, take the hairpin path to your R and continue, crossing the footbridge, to Gatesgarth Farm.

4 Turn R onto Honister Pass and take another R in 150m to begin the ascent of Fleetwith Edge, heading SE. Continue for 1 mile until you reach the summit.

5 At the summit, take the path heading E for

0.5 miles to Black Star from where you will adjust your direction SE, following the path through Honister Quarries back to your starting point.
