Ship grounding inquiry

- CHRIS COURT

AN INQUIRY into the grounding of a storm-damaged container ship off a World Heritage coast will be launched tomorrow – within sight of the remains of the vessel.

All that is left of the MSC Napoli is part of the stern. Work to remove it off Sidmouth, Devon, begins next month. The grounding in January last year made headlines after thousands of people flocked to nearby Branscombe beach to scavenge contents of 50 containers washed ashore.
