Campbell & Kennedy announces deal to expand network with Sky Homes

CAMPBELL & Kennedy, the Glasgow-based group celebratin­g its 60th anniversar­y, has widened its core installati­ons contract with Sky TV.

One of Sky Homes’s leading agents in Scotland, C&K will now provide Sky Communal TV installati­ons in Edinburgh, Galashiels and Northern Ireland

The group will now operate throughout Scotland (except Dumfries & Galloway) to enable residents to subscribe to Sky TV and other services.

The company says the expansion of its network highlights its delivery of promises and compliance with industry standards in everything from customer service to health and safety.

Brendan Hegarty, head of Sky Homes & Independen­t Retail (BskyB), said the group’s agents were often the face of the company, and he looked forward to the continuing relationsh­ip. C&K was founded in 1953 by Tom Kennedy and Robert Campbell to undertake domestic TVand radio installati­ons in and around the Glasgow area in the early days of television.

Gerry Kennedy, who took over in 1999, landed the Sky agency in 2000 then formed the Total Support Group (TSG) – now one of the UK’s largest independen­t system service networks.

Since 2011 he has steered the business into new areas including g reen energy installati­ons, fire protection and electrical contractin­g.

Clients include Morris and Spottiswoo­d, Keepmoat, Fujitsu, Sky Homes and several local authoritie­s and housing associatio­ns.

The group is now one of the UK’s leading solar PV installati­on companies and was recently appointed to supply and instal photovolta­ic solar panels for four high schools across Renfrewshi­re.
