Police probe man’s effort ‘to sell baby’

POLICE are looking for a man who reportedly tried to sell a baby in an arcade.

A man with a baby in a pram approached a person in Barton Arcade, Manchester, and allegedly offered to trade the child. Police have released an image of the man and are attempting to trace him.

Sergeant David Henshall said: “This is extremely unusual and we are trying to establish the full circumstances of the situation, but most importantly check on the welfare of the child.

“If anyone recognises the man in the image please contact police urgently.”
