Man dies at the scene of car crash

A MOTORCYCLI­ST has died after his machine travelled for around 300ft following a collision with a car

he man, whose age and identity have not been released, was pronounced dead on the A423 at Princethor­pe, near Coventry.

An off-duty community first responder was first to arrive at the scene after the accident at about 9.15 last night, and was joined by two ambulances and a doctor.

An ambulance service spokeswoma­n said: “The motorcycle had travelled another 100 metres down the A423 following the impact.

“The motorcycli­st had sustained multiple traumatic injuries.

“Sadly, after more than 40 minutes of resuscitat­ion, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead on scene.”

The car’s driver and passenger did not require hospital treatment.
