Suspects in betting scam on CCTV
POLICE investigating a credit slip scam which saw a bookmaker defrauded out of almost £3,000 have issued CCTV images of three men they want to trace.
Detectives believe a self-service betting machine at a Coral branch in Smethwick, near Birmingham, was tampered with in June, resulting in it printing out dozens of bogus slips.
The credit notes, worth £2,955, were then cashed at other branches of Coral.
CCTV stills taken at Coral in Cape Hill, Smethwick, on June 18 show three men using the machine within a matter of minutes.
Anyone who can name the men is urged to call PC Dan Cartwright at West Bromwich police station on 101.
