Tickets on sale for festival filled with variety

-

Tickets are now on sale for the third edition of the Stirling Fringe Festival, directed by former journalist and comedian turned cultural entrepreneur Barry McDonald.

This year’s programme ranges more widely than ever with a performance of a new version of Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro by VoiceArc and Cowane Hospital hosting a concert by South African vocal group Simply Soweto Encha, returning to Stirling for a second year.

Modern string quartet Routes and Scottish hip-hop band Stanley Odd top the music bill and there is stand-up comedy from Gary Little, Joe Heenan, Ray Bradshaw and reigning Scottish Comedian of the Year, Bruce Fummey.

McDonald said: “We want to attract people from far and wide to Stirling, but of equal importance are the people who live in Stirling. We want to give them a festival they can boast about.” stirlingfringe.com.
