Journalist forced to leave China in row

BEIJING: A French journalist is being forced to leave China after the government said it would not renew her press credential­s in response to a critical report on Beijing’s policies in the troubled region of Xinjiang. Ursula Gauthier, of current affairs magazine L’Obs, is the first journalist in more than three years forced to leave China due to a refusal of accreditat­ion.
