Issue of note

WE mentioned the vexed topic of Scottish notes being accepted or not accepted in England. A Motherwell fan tells us four of them were at a pre-season friendly in England where they ordered four pints.

Realising they were tendering a Scottish £20, they also asked for crisps.

When the barman turned to get the snacks they all took a gulp from their pints, realising that their Scottish note would now be accepted without a fuss.
