Pupils to learn a newsubject... Gregory’s Girl

SCHOOL pupils in Inverness and Edinburgh are to step back to the 1980s and study the classic Scottish film Gregory’s Girl.

For the event organised by Cinelive, the Eden Court venue in Inverness on January 12 and Summerhall in Edinburgh on January 18, will be “transforme­d into Gregory’s 1980s Abronhill High School”. The day-long project will feature biology lessons alongside live re-enactments of key scenes from Gregory’s Girl culminatin­g in a screening of the 1981 film.

The film characters of Gregory, Dorothy, Susan and others from Bill Forysth’s movie will be played by young actors from Edinburgh, Stirling and Inverness.
