Students display creative works
A COLLECTION of works from award-winning graduates have gone on display for the first time as part of the celebrations marking Scotland’s Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design
The Kaleidoscope II exhibition at Duff House in Aberdeenshire showcases the best in creative design and innovation from graduates of Robert Gordon University’s Gray’s School of Art and the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and Built Environment.
All of the works on display were created by graduates who won the prestigious RGU Fine Art, Design and Architecture Purchase Awards.
Graeme Curran, manager of Duff House, in Banff, said: “Kaleidoscope II showcases a truly unique body of work; the exhibition demonstrates and celebrates the talent, creativity and achievements of previous and more recent RGU Purchase Prize recipients.
“Visitors to the house will have the chance to view a variety of quality work, including contemporary jewellery, graphic illustrations, detailed architectural drawings, fashion garments and much more in a display that highlights the creativity and talent held within this region.”
Jane Kidd, curator of RGU’s Arts and Heritage Collection, said: “Duff House provides a wonderfully striking backdrop for the exhibition and it is great to see the work in a completely new environment.”
Kaleidoscope II runs until May 15.
