Designer has created new staff uniforms

- KEVIN SCOTT ROG WOOD

A GLASGOW-BASED textile designer has been chosen to design new staff uniforms for Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks.

Aimee Kent was commissioned to create two prints – one for Clydesdale Bank and one for Yorkshire Bank.

Set to be unveiled this month in branches nationwide, the revamped workwear collection has been launched following the group’s demerger from National Australian Bank early in the year.

Ms Kent, a Glasgow School of Art graduate, said: “I wanted to make something you’d feel proud to wear. A distinctive print that would brighten your day. There’s no reason why workwear shouldn’t be stylish. It should be on trend, yet timeless, classic, and flattering to all.” WALLETS Marts had a small show of store cattle in Castle Douglas yesterday when eight heifers sold to a top of £1,000 per head and 209p per kg to average £831 and 200.2p, while 32 bullocks peaked at £1,020 and 240.4p to level at £839 and 203.6p.
