-

RECRUITMENT consultancy Primestaff has acquired Direct Workforce from Bibby Line Group, creating a business with turnover in excess of £20 million.

Glasgow-based Primestaff, which saw a management buyout earlier this year, had revenue of £11m last year and the expanded group will provide about 1,500 temporary staff to 300 clients, as well as placing 200 permanent staff.

Direct Workforce has a track record in the logistics and industrial markets – mainly in the north of England.

“It’s a real statement of intent from Primestaff, one that shows we are serious about growth,” said chief executive Danny McIntyre. “As market leader in recruitment across a range of industries in Scotland, the opportunity to team up with Direct Workforce to expand our offer into the north of England with an established player is one we didn’t want to miss.”
