Man’s death in drive still unexplained

POLICE are investigating the “unexplained” death of a man whose body was found in the driveway of his home in Dunblane.

It is understood the 67-yearold was found lying dead outside his bungalow in Anchorscross in the early hours of Christmas Eve by a neighbour. He has not yet been named. Police were on the scene soon afterwards and the street was cordoned off for much of the day.

Police Scotland has launched an investigation but it is not clear whether there are any suspicious circumstances.

A forensics tent was erected in the driveway while investigators combed the scene for clues into the man’s death.

A spokesman for the force said the man’s death was currently being treated as “unexplained”.

He added: “Inquiries into the full circumstances are at an early stage and ongoing.”
