Leading line-up for The Crucible

-

CASTING has been confirmed for the production of The Crucible which will come to the Theatre Royal in Glasgow next June. Arthur Miller’s play will be at the venue from June 12 to 17.

Charlie Condou, who is best known for the role of Marcus Dent in Coronation Street, will be playing the witch-hunter Reverend Hale, and Victoria Yeates takes on the role of Elizabeth Proctor.

They will be joined by Eoin Slattery, who plays John Proctor, and Lucy Keirl, who recently took the role of Juliet in The Watermill’s production of Romeo and Juliet, plays Abigail Williams.

The Crucible is directed by Douglas Rintoul, artistic director of the Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch.

The production “draws parallels with Trump’s America and post-Brexit UK where truth is no longer an absolute and daily reports of race-driven hate crime fill the news”. atgtickets.com
