House fires man denies charges

A MAN has been charged with repeatedly setting fire to his Kilmarnock home. Paul Sherry, 51, allegedly tampered with smoke and heat alarms before falling asleep holding a lit cigarette. Sherry denies culpable and reckless conduct and endangering life between September 2014 and July 2016. He faces trial at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court.
