Biker, 72, killed in loch road accident

A CLASSIC motorcycle enthusiast has died after he was involved in a crash on his bike along the shores of Loch

Ness.

Anthony Woods, 72, a former director of the Frances-Barnett (FB) Owners Club, had been riding one of the rare lightweigh­t machines when the accident happened on the B852 between Dores and Inverfarig­aig at about 12.40pm.

There were no other vehicles involved and nobody else was hurt.

Mr Woods, of Aldringham in Suffolk, is believed to have been a retired local government officer .

Police attended with other emergency services and the road was shut allow for collision investigat­ion to take place.

The FB owners club organises a number of events for enthusiast­s of the motorbikes, which were first built in 1919 and have a large following, who attend various get-togethers.
