Mixing up the Registers

BRYAN Chrystal states (Letters, July 3) that an application for a name change can be made to Registers of Scotland (RoS).

This does not actually fall within the remit of RoS, but is the responsibility of National Registers of Scotland. RoS primarily keeps the Land Register of Scotland, as well as the General Register of Sasines.
