Red tape must be unhealthy
JOHN Black’s letter (April 3) struck a chord, particularly the last sentence, in which he urges: fire the paper pushers and double the salaries of front-line nurses. The Integration Joint Board for NHS Highland has more than 30 members meeting approximately four or more times a year producing in excess of 1,000 pages of no doubt meritorious words while the local service struggles with a deficit that equates to the combined salaries and expenses of the participants.
