Erse-while musings

FORGET about being the first Herald reader to hear a cuckoo this spring and be instead the first to spot an evocatively named “reid ersed, yalla ersed or foggie toddler” bumblebee courtesy of Thelma Edward’s reflections while resting recently on her fundament, colour not disclosed, on a little stone wall (Letters, May 5). Bumblebees will never be the same again during my summer ramblings.
