Game of Thrones stars’ Scots wedding
GAME of Thrones stars Kit Harington and Rose Leslie are to be married in Scotland next month.
The couple, who were an on-screen couple as Jon Snow and wildling Ygritte on the blockbuster TV series announced their engagement last September and will say their vows next month.
A wedding notice has been posted outside the registration office in Huntly, Aberdeenshire – a few miles from Leslie’s family home, the 12th century Wardhill Castle near Oldmeldrum.
The notice states they will wed on Saturday June 23. The couple starred in blockbuster TV series Game of Thrones for four seasons.
Rose played housemaid Gwen Dawson in Downton Abbey and the wildling Ygritte in Thrones between 2012 and 2014.
The couple, both 31, confirmed their engagement back in September last year.
The duo, who began dating back in 2012, broke the news by placing an announcement in The Times newspaper.
Earlier this year, Rose spoke out about her relationship with her co-star, as she revealed she refused to make eye contact with him when he was reading the Game of Thrones script.
Explaining that she didn’t want his reaction to spoil the episodes for her, the actress told Entertainment Weekly: “I ask Kit not to show me his excitement after he has read an episode, simply because I don’t want to read anything in his eyes.”
