Son accused of murder bid

A MAN has appeared in court charged with attempting to murder his mother.

Kyle Morrison, 20, is alleged to have repeatedly stabbed 51-year-old Sharon Morrison, at a flat in Southbrae Gardens, Jordanhill, Glasgow.

He appeared in private from custody at Glasgow Sheriff Court yesterday.

Mr Morrison, from the city, made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody by Sheriff Stuart Reid.

It is claimed that on August 22 he repeatedly struck his mother on the head and body with a knife or similar instrument.

He will appear at court next week for a full committal hearing.
