Woman killed in car crash

A WOMAN died and two people suffered serious injuries following a two-vehicle crash.

Several others were also taken to hospital after the collision, which happened on the A952 at Mintlaw at about 9.50pm on Thursday.

The 67-year-old who died, who was from the Peterhead area, was a passenger in a black Skoda Fabia driven by a 65-yearold man.

A 17-year-old girl in the car also suffered serious injuries while the driver was slightly hurt.

The other car was a red Fiat 500 driven by a 41-year-old woman who suffered serious injuries.

The road was closed for several hours while police investigat­ed.
