Star accused of drink-driving
TOTTENHAM Hotspur goalkeeper and captain Hugo Lloris has been charged with drink-driving.
The World Cup winner was charged following a routine patrol stop in the early hours of yesterday. The Frenchman was stopped in Marylebone, central London.
Lloris, 31, of East Finchley, north London, was bailed to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on September 11.
He has been at Spurs since joining from Lyon in 2012, playing 207 games in the Premier League and keeping 74 clean sheets.
Lloris has won more than 100 international caps and captained France to World Cup glory in Russia last month as they beat Croatia 4-2 in the final.
