Wales v England (Kick-off 7.45pm). Coverage of the Group One encounter at Rodney Parade in Newport. These sides have already secured the top two places in the group, with the winners earning automatic qualificat­ion for next summer’s tournament in France, and the four best runners-up from the whole qualificat­ion phase going into a two-legged play-off. The hosts are one point ahead of their opponents as things stand.

The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice

C4, 8pm

When The Great British Bake Off made its controvers­ial move from BBC to Channel 4 last year, one of the secondary concerns of the show’s fans was the future of An Extra Slice. Popular in its own right, Jo Brand’s companion show has built up a massive audience during the Bake-off years, with millions tuning in for unseen footage from the programme and an interview with the week’s eliminated baker. However, fans needn’t have worried – Brand was back as the host, there were celebrity guests and members of the public brought in their own home-baked goodies. The spin-off is back tonight for its witty take on the week’s Bake Off drama.

Edinburgh Nights with Nish Kumar

BBC2, 11.05pm

Since its launch in 1947, the Edinburgh Festival and Fringe has grown to become the largest arts gathering in the world with around 4,000 shows in around 300 venues selling almost three millions tickets. Some of the bestknown names in entertainm­ent got their big break at the Festivals, including Mike Myers, Steve Coogan, Miranda Hart, Emma Thompson, Graham Norton, Hugh Laurie, Billy Connolly and JK Rowling. Tonight, The Mash Report host goes behind the scenes again at the annual event which is second only to the second only to the summer Olympic Games in terms of attendees.

Elijah Quashie’s sidekicks Nelson and Wilson compare a pricy pedicure versus something off the high street. The boys also enjoy a sweet treat with guest Jessie Ware as they compare VIP custom doughnuts to a supermarke­t version. They then check out two ways of boat living – the humble canal boat and a high-end mega yacht. Plus, a starstudde­d peek at the production of the Peng Life theme tune, with Krept and Konan, Raye, MNEK, Calum Scott, Yxng Bane, Tim Westwood and Guz Khan.

BBC Ouch Storytelli­ng Live: Going Out

BBC2, 11.35pm

Lee Ridley is unable to speak, but with the aid of a voice synthesize­r he has become a successful stand-up comedian – as Lost Voice Guy, he won the BBC Radio New Comedy Awards in 2014 and earlier this year, was voted the winner of Britain’s Got Talent. So, he’s the perfect person to host this special event at the Edinburgh Fringe. It sees a mix of first-time and profession­al comedians and storytelle­rs, all of whom are disabled or have mental health difficulti­es.
