Landmarks see the funny side
EDINBURGH’S Greyfriers Bobby was looking a bit less glum yesterday after donning a red nose for Comic Relief.
The statue, which sits at the corner of Candlemaker Row and George IV Bridge, was one of a series of landmarks – from the Blackpool seafront to St Paul’s Cathedral in London – given the comedy treatment to mark the run up to
Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day telethon on the
BBC on March 15.
The charity event is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and supermarket Sainsburys unveiled the giant red noses to launch merchandise in stores and mark the countdown.
