FOUR OF THE BEST
Harry Redknapp’s Sandbanks Summer
STV, 8pm
For more than 20 years, Harry Redknapp has lived in Sandbanks, the Dorset peninsula that’s famed for being the most expensive and exclusive seaside resort in Britain. Now, Harry is giving viewers a glimpse into his life there – and if this series is anything to go by, it includes everything from beach polo with Nick Knowles and Rita Simons to powerboat racing with John Barnes and Chris Kamara. In the first episode though, he’s joined by Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock, who is thinking of moving to Sandbanks. Harry takes him and Joe Pasquale to look at a penthouse, before they all head to a living history day at Corfe Castle, where Joe and Harry become medieval knights. There’s also a trip to the Bournemouth Air Festival in the offing.
Good Omens
BBC2, 9pm
This offbeat drama might have attracted a bit more fanfare when it arrived on BBC2 if it hadn’t already been available to stream on Amazon Prime Video, but for those who have caught up it with on traditional TV, it’s made for intriguing viewing. Now, as the series reaches its dramatic conclusion, Adam (Sam Taylor
Buck), Crowley (David Tennant) and Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) must work together to save the world from certain doom. Will Heaven and Hell punish Crowley and Aziraphale for betraying them if they do?
Spy in the Wild
BBC1, 9pm
In the final episode of the series, the spy cameras travel to the Arctic and Antarctic circles, following chicks in a king penguin colony on the island of South Georgia in the Southern Ocean. On the other side of the world, Spy Walrus discovers a walrus family hauled out on an ice floe, before Spy Gyrfalcon follows the family as they head towards dry land. Elsewhere on Norway’s Hornoya island, Spy Puffin follows thousands of male puffins as they gather in the snow and search for their life–long partners. Last in the series.
The Hairy Bikers’ Chocolate Challenge
Channel 5, 9pm
Budding chocolatiers compete for the chance to make their own chocolate bar that will be manufactured and sold by one of the biggest chocolate companies in the world. This time, the chocolatiers are challenged to make bite-sized chocolates based on their favourite desserts, hoping to impress judge Ruth Hinks with their creations. In the second challenge, the competitors must create their own version of a celebration variety tin of chocolates. Elsewhere, the Hairy Bikers visit the Quality Street production line in Halifax.
