THE founders of Scotland’s first podcast network have said they want to connect the country’s best audio content with audiences around the world.

The Big Light will offer output covering everything from comedy to crime, culture, news analysis and documentaries.

Billy Connolly, Alan Cumming and Brian Cox are on board, along with literary giants such as Val Mcdermid and Ian Rankin.

New talent, including Colin and Charley Gavigan, and Sean Mcdonald, will also feature. Company founders Janice Forsyth and Fiona White are working with hosts Stuart Cosgrove and Professor Eamonn O’neill.

Ms Forsyth said: “Our mission is to connect a global audience with the very best audio on-demand content that Scotland has to offer.”
