Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond The Lobby BBC2, 8pm

Giles Coren and Monica Galetti roll up their sleeves to work in more of the most extraordin­ary hotels across the globe. The first episode of the new series sees the duo travel to the self-governing Chinese city of Macau. Known as the gambling capital of the world, it welcomes millions visitors from China and the rest of the world every year. Joining the 6,000 staff of a new super hotel, the $3.4 billion MGM Cotai, Monica gets special access to The Mansion – a secret

VIP world of 27 ultra-luxury villas where even money can’t buy a stay. Plus, Giles flies through the air in one of the world’s most technologi­cally advanced theatres and helps create the extravagan­t floral displays for Chinese New Year.

Bake Off: The Profession­als Channel 4, 8pm

Liam Charles and Tom Allen host the quarter-final of the baking contest, with the five best teams returning for their most gruelling challenges yet. In the first round, the teams must create 24 macarons and 24 cocktail-inspired desserts, in just three and a half hours. For the second round, they must combine sugar and chocolate work to create a spectacula­r showpiece that incorporat­es an edible game for judges Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden to play before they decide who is going through to the semi-final.

Our Yorkshire Farm Channel 5, 9pm

New series. Return of the documentar­y series following hill shepherds Amanda and Clive Owen and their nine children. This third series begins as the family bids farewell to Raven as she leaves for university. Four-year-old Clemmy is also about to start school – but is less keen on leaving the farm, especially since it means less time with her beloved pony Tony. The family all has to pull together when Clive goes into hospital for hip replacemen­t surgery, preventing him from working on the farm as winter draws nearer.

I May Destroy You BBC1, 10.45pm

Arabella encounters her attacker David, and asks Terry and Theo to help her get revenge. Approachin­g him in a nightclub, they plan to dose him with the same sedative he used on her. However, when he gets away from them, they are forced to use increasing­ly violent methods to subdue him. As the long night draws to a close, Arabella finds her memories of the night coming into sharper focus, and is forced to quickly come to terms with both her own secrets and those of David.
