As summer turns to autumn, Helen Skelton and Jules Hudson head to Cannon Hall Farm in South Yorkshire to find out what the new season brings. They discover the holiday is well and truly over for Orchid the shire horse, who spent her summer at a nearby stud farm, while brothers Rob and Dave are ready to take on a new challenge – watercolou­rs. Meanwhile, popstartur­ned-pig farmer JB Gill is getting ready for the harvest with a trip to the largest greenhouse complex in the UK, where he hopes to pick a pepper or two.

Later in 2013 with the dance duo Disclosure. In the seven years that followed, the singer went on to score two number one albums, seven chart-topping singles and a clutch of awards, including an Oscar for the James Bond theme Writing’s on the Wall. Now, Sam is joining Jools once again to talk inspiratio­ns, musical experiment­ation and pick some favourite clips from the Later archives. There’s also music from Jamaican artist Koffee and British folk legend Shirley Collins.

Lennon: The New York Years BBC4, 10pm

The story of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s move to New York City in 1971, as the singer sought to escape the mayhem of the Beatles era and focus on his private life. Alan Yentob charts the ups and downs the couple faced – including their battle against the immigratio­n services and Lennon’s infamous “lost weekend”, when he left Yoko for their personal assistant and disappeare­d to LA for more than a year. The film features interviews with Ono, photograph­er Bob Gruen and Elton John, as well as studio recordings from the Double Fantasy sessions, concert out-takes and home-movie clips.

Friday nights just aren’t the same without Graham, so it’s good to have him back – especially as even in these uncertain times, he’s still doing an impressive job of getting the A-listers on to his show, whether they are in the studio or joining him remotely. This week, Hollywood star Ewan Mcgregor discusses being back on the road for his latest travelogue Long Way Up, dancer and presenter Ashley Banjo promotes the new Diversity tour Connected, while music superstar Miley Cyrus chats and performs her current single Midnight Sky.
