At a meeting of Edinburgh Tramways Committee yesterday a motion was submitted by Mr Couston for consideration of the question of electrifying, from the Leith section at an early date, the route from Hanover Street to Goldenacre, and running an electric service from Hanover Street to Granton. Consideration of the proposals was delayed pending a report from the tramways manager on the whole question of electrification.
